Maarten van Severen

The son of an abstract painter, Belgian furniture designer Maarten Van Severen began studying architecture but after three years decided to concentrate on designing furniture. He collaborated with Rem Koolhaas on two houses in France, and has designed furniture pieces that are produced most notably by Vitra including the MVS Chaise and the Kast storage unit.
