Alberto Meda

Trained as a mechanical engineer, Alberto Meda began his career as a technical director for Kartell and Alfa Romeo. The industrial training has given Meda the focus on construction, instead of the more formal parts of design. Meda is always working out new material solutions and the endless possibilities made possible by technology - what he describes as a "supermarket of creative possibilities". Meda is known for his work across furniture, lighting and utilitarian objects for companies including; Alessi, Mandarin Duck, Kartell and Vitra.
