The contemporary classic Gio lounger for outdoor use forms part of a complete range of seats, tables and furnishings. Characterised by a solid natural teakwood frame or in a special antique grey finish, which gives the wood a particular lived-in look with silver grey reflections, the lounger features an interlacing of polypropylene bands and a reclining back. Moreover, its fabric-covered padded mattress makes it particularly cosy and comfortable.
Antonio Citterio
Antonio Citterio was born in Meda in 1950 and today lives and works in Milan. He graduated in architecture at the Politecnico of Milan and from 1972 he has worked for leading manufacturers Vitra, Flexform, Flos, Iittala, Kartell and Arclinea. He has an ongoing role as art director for Maxalto and is the architect behind the group's retail showrooms around the world. In 2007 he received the Royal Designer for Industry award from the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce in London.
