Revised is a new design brand founded by creative directors Suzy and Casper Vissers. With designer Sjoerd Vroonland, the trio spent two years dedicated to research and development, and have produced a launch collection that brings warmth and serenity to the home.
Launched in 2018, Revised comes our of Amsterdam where the brand’s founders and creative directors are well known internationally for their creative pedigree. Casper Vissers began his design journey with Moooi, cofounding the group with Marcel Wanders in 2001 at a time when The Netherlands was a quiet presence on the international design scene. All that would change when Moooi launched some of the biggest and most successful exhibitions the Milan Furniture Fair has seen, gaining the attention of Italian heavyweight B&B Italia who invested in the group allowing it to grow globally.
After 14 years with Moooi, Casper left the brand to stretch his entrepreneurial legs. First investing in British design group Minimalux and soon after, establishing design brand Revised with his partner Suzy Vissers. “Our first collection is by the designer Sjoerd Vroonland who committed two years for research and development,” remark Suzy and Casper Vissers. “Each piece is a celebration of pure, solid, high quality materials such as wood, marble, metal and glass."
The perfect designer for Revised’s first collection, Sjoerd Vroonland is a master with wood. Making a name for himself with the artful and quirky Extension chair designed for the Moooi collection, his new adventure with Revised expresses the beauty of both construction and sensorial experience, applying his "loving attention to detail in shape, material and touch” inspired by classic compositions from design history.

The collection is both new and familiar. The design approach brings together the intrinsic beauty of honest materials into forms that are sophisticated in their making and in their connection to the traditions and history of craftsmanship. In each piece Sjoerd finds a way of applying centuries-old techniques with a new contemporary overly.

Revised’s first collection includes dining chairs and armchairs, tables, storage items, lighting and accessories that are "modern, elegant and heart-warming". Pieces in the range focus on solid, high quality materials with soft and gentle curves, impeccable detailing and beautiful silhouettes. The idea behind the Revised collection is to create timelessness by exploring "our most inspiring legacies with present day knowledge", and in the process they have produced serenity with soul.
